Privacy Notice

This notice describes the information Pamlico County Released Inmates may receive, how that information supports site operations, and when service providers or public authorities may receive it. It also explains cookies, outside links, security limits, and visitor choices. By using the site, you accept the practices stated here.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search

A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Pamlico County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy rules govern its handling of the query.

Messages Sent to Us

If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Routine server, analytics, and service logs may collect basic technical details when a page loads. These details help measure use, diagnose faults, and keep the service available.

  • The internet protocol address used for the request
  • Browser name and version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring website, when one is supplied
  • Date and time stamps tied to requests

Cookie Controls

Cookies help show how visitors move through the site and may support advertising or other functions. Most browsers let you refuse or remove cookies. Blocking them may cause some parts of the site to work in a different way.

Reasons We Use Information

Collected information is used only for routine service and business purposes connected with operating the site.

  • Maintain reliable and responsive pages
  • Send search requests to the correct partner tool
  • Understand which resources visitors use
  • Detect and repair performance or technical faults
  • Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests

Privacy Beyond Our Pages

Links may lead to Pamlico County release resources, sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, and third-party search services. Once you leave, the destination’s own privacy notice controls its collection and use of information.

Some advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on the provider’s systems, not on systems controlled by Pamlico County Released Inmates.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be disclosed to service providers that perform a stated function or when a valid legal demand requires it.

  • Search partners that process a submitted query
  • Analytics providers that measure site use
  • Advertising networks that deliver ads
  • Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order

Safeguards and Their Limits

We use ordinary administrative and technical practices intended to protect information. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed secure in every circumstance. We therefore cannot promise that a breach, interception, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Applicable law may give you choices concerning personal information held by us. A request may be subject to identity checks and legal exceptions.

  • Ask for a copy of personal data we maintain
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Ask that eligible personal data be erased
  • Opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
